Following my offer of a free Google Analytics Introductory project for one UK organisation, I am pleased to announce that the successful applicant is Top10.com. They ticked all the boxes for the type of company I was hoping would apply:
- high traffic levels (> 1m per month)
- ability to make changes to website (turnaround time < 2 weeks)
- support from top management (contact was through co-founder Harry Jones)
Top10.com has been around for 5 years and is the UK biggest comparison website for broadband and mobile phones. In addition to their own bespoke analytics and tracking system called Backstage, they have had Google Analytics on their site for the past year. As Top10.com don’t have a dedicated Google Analytics professional in-house, they are not currently getting full value from it and are interested in harnessing more of its power. There are numerous business questions which people are aware can be answered with web analytics, they need professional assistance to do so.
If everything goes smoothly, the impact of this project should be reflected in the business performance of Top10.com in the next few months. I will be publishing updates on initially my findings and recommendations, then the changes that Top10.com is implementing, followed by the business impact of these changes. Assuming I can deliver on my promises, we will create a case study demonstrating the impact and value from this Google Analytics Introductory project and working with L3 Analytics.
Many thanks to the other companies who applied for this offer. I am going to provide some free assistance to the first company to apply, AV3 Software, ensuring that Google Analytics is set up correctly and demonstrating how they can get value from it. I am also going to help out a couple of friends who contacted me regarding their websites, WooThemes and RowPerfect. As with Top10.com, I am expecting to get rewarded here with case studies and proof of the benefits and ROI of working with L3 Analytics.
